The four elements are the critical forces that sustain all life in both our internal and external universe. They are what keep us balanced and connected.

For centuries, the elements of nature have been honoured by our ancestors in ritual and ceremony to honour the earth, the giver of all life.  Like everything within the universe however there are two sides – two aspects. The shadow and the light.

In nature, the light is that of the nurturing mother, everything exists within a pure balance, the cycles of life are stable and continuous, the elements give and support all life.

The shadow aspect of nature on the other hand, is untamed and uncontrollable. She can take life and cause mass destruction through natural disasters like floods, draughts, hurricanes, and earthquakes.

When we take time to recognise the elements within us in this way, we can begin to awaken and remember our true nature within us. We can take steps to balance the elements within us, so that we can recentre back into our wholeness.

Using the medicine wheel, we will go on a journey where you can access the medicine within you and call your soul back

Snake

SOUTH - FIRE - SERPENT

Fire rules our passion and drive for life. It is our source of power. We can offer past experiences to the fire through shedding of our skins, and allow them to be transformed so that you can shine brighter. Your traumas, your wounds, they can help to strengthen you and become your source of power.

The serpent represents transformation. She helps us journey inwards, navigating from the external and material world to show us deeper layers of ourselves.

The serpent asks us to shed the skins of the past, to let-go of thoughts and beliefs about food and body so that we can be prepared for the cycles and journeys ahead. It teaches us that our journey isn’t linear. We are invited to peel back the layers, because this is the only way that we can remain moving forwards. We start to begin to see the body for more than just what we see in the mirror of the physical form, but a vessel to connect to our emotional, mental and spiritual bodies.

WEST - WATER - JAGUAR

Water lives through our bodies, it makes over 70% of us. It is our blood, sweat and tears. It is the binder in which we are held together. When we connect to the water it can help us to unlock what is keeping us stagnant, we can begin to see where our energy is leaking. She is purification, pure embodied consciousness.  So long as we stay in motion, water provides healing and clarity.

Jaguar asks us to devour the darkness. She encourages us to discover the power of fearlessness because it is our fear that keeps us in the dark and disconnected from our spirit.

Jaguar can help us to extinguish the thoughts around food and body that we know hold us back, but that we often feel that we just can’t get rid of. By bringing death to them, she gives us space to create new thoughts and beliefs, new choices for ourselves and connect to our inner power. She represents possibility and change and connects us to our inner wisdom and intuition.

The element of earth connects us to our physical body, as when we connect to earth, we connect to things we can see and touch. Our skin and bones, made up of an assortment of different components found through the universe. The earth, our great mother, is our source of inner most nourishment, she supports our weight, she provides us a space to live and provides security, she provides an abundance of resources that can nourish us all.

The hummingbird asks us to drink the nectar of life. The hummingbird goes on a fierce journey. It leaves the safety of the known because they hear their distant call, and they trust and follow it with joy in their heart.

It is at this level that we can encounter our true soul. We allow ourselves to fill up on the good stuff by allowing our cups,  overflowing with the beauty that exists around us, that inspires us, the things that ignite our fire rather than filling up on food. We follow the call of our soul, where we know not how we will make the journey, how long it will take or how difficult it will be, but we know that we must tend to that deep yearning for more.

EAST - AIR - EAGLE CONDOR

The element of air element relates to our breath and governs how we move. When we work with air, we can allow it to lift the weight that holds us down, and carry us to where we wish to go. Air however, can be forceful, it can be dense and bitter and we can often get caught up in our thoughts or they can become twisted.

The eagle shows us that the only obstacles that exist, are the ones that we create for ourselves. Everything we see is a projection of the internal.

When we face challenges and we work with the energy of the eagle, experiencing them becomes easier, because we have a truer perception of what is real and what isn’t.

When we work with this energy, rather than being stuck in our tumultuous relationship with food and body and trying to figure out a way to stop it, we can look down on it and know that when we return to peace, we can heal it from a deeper level with an open heart.

Combining the ancient wisdom of the earth, the traditions and knowledge of the earth keepers and modern science and coaching tools, I am here to help guide you through your journey of coming home to yourself and healing your relationship to food and your body.

I understand that opening yourself up to both unexplored and unknown aspects of yourself can be terrifying, let alone with someone else. I have been there.

My offering is not one of therapy or counselling, but one where you are invited to explore your own wisdom and apply the tools to access the healer and medicine within you.

I want to support you in a way no one else has before so that you can rise and awaken your own medicine, transform your perceptions, and connect with the wild nature and wholeness within you so that are empowered to be who you were brought here to be.

We will work through the four elements as well as weaving in shamanic healing archetypes of the serpent, jaguar, hummingbird and eagle.
